John Burns

Hello! I’m an artist living in Kansas. I tell stories through photography, film, and concept art.

I have completed concept art for clients in the film and video game industries, including Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla) and Arnold Ayala (Halo, Bioshock 2), among others. I have also directed and worked on several short films, and am always writing big, larger-than-life screenplays.

In the world of photography, I frequently capture portraits, drawing inspiration from photographers such as Annie Liebovitz and Yusuf Karsh. I often book senior, engagement, and family sessions — my goal to deliver the tone and style my client envisions.

If you have work, I would love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out any time via No matter the job, my principle is always the same — to tell a compelling, visual story that meets my client’s vision.
