I’m John. I photograph people, events, and the places they take me.

I spent my early career as a freelance concept artist, working most recently on Gareth Edwards' 2023 sci-fi film, The Creator, which received critical praise and two Oscar nominations. While I keep my brush skills sharp, I love to experience the world on my feet, so my passion for 2D art eventually evolved into my primary work as a photographer and filmmaker.

Today, the majority of my art is made behind the lens.

A Kansas native, I live with my incredible wife and German-Pyrenees rescue in Lawrence, KS, frequently traveling for work and for pleasure while running my production company. I look forward to working with you!
